| The drawing and painting group met on Thursday 17 July in Black Park for sketching en Plein air. Plein air artists capture the spirit and essence of a landscape or subject by incorporating natural light, colour and movement into their works. These are some of the sketches of work in progress created by the group. They can be helpful to inspire or to remind the artist of the scene. One person completed her painting and submitted it to Slough Art Society for their current exhibition at The Old Court in Windsor. |
The group moved on to portrait painting on 31 July.

Autumn Colours and Raindrops : Many thanks to Veronica for her demonstration and encouragement. We have agreed to continue the theme next time.

DRAWING AND PAINTING GROUP The work in progress for the Drawing and Painting group for the last two sessions has been a focus on Autumn colour and the group has been using a media that they prefer. Most people used watercolour but others used pencils, graphite and acrylic. In the second session, Veronica demonstrated how to paint a water droplet on a leaf or flower. If you look carefully, you can see some have started to do this.
