Welcome to the
Slough u3a website!
Slough u3a is a friendly, active community for adults who want to stay mentally stimulated, socially connected, and enjoy learning new things together. Our members are typically no longer in full‑time work, but they certainly haven’t stopped exploring, discovering, or having fun.
We offer a growing range of local and online groups, covering everything from languages, history and science to walking, crafts, music, technology, and more. Many people join simply to enjoy our sociable outings, interest groups, and monthly meetings, all led by enthusiastic and knowledgeable volunteers.
Whether you’re interested in learning something new, sharing your skills, or simply meeting people, you’ll find a warm welcome here.

Although several activities are free of charge we do ask you to Join Slough u3a in order to take part in our groups.
The u3a movement is one of the largest member‑led organisations in the UK. Our members learn together, make friends, and contribute to a vibrant community of lifelong learning
And in Slough — where only around 10% of the population is aged 65+ — staying connected matters more than ever.

Slough u3a thrives because members bring their interests, ideas, and enthusiasm. We always welcome suggestions for new groups or activities, and we encourage everyone to take part in whatever way suits them.
If you have skills you could share, a little spare time, or simply the desire to help Slough u3a grow, we’d love to hear from you. Just speak to a committee member to find out how you can get involved.

➠ Monthly Meetings
Our regular monthly meetings are far more than an excellent talk by someone interesting and a cuppa. At these meetings Announcements are made, reminders are given, but far more importantly there is ample time to talk, say hello to someone new, maybe make a friend. We recommend all our members attend these meetings to keep in touch.
