Volunteer with Slough u3a – Make a Real Difference in Your Community
Slough u3a is growing, and so is our mission to offer older people in our town the chance to learn, connect, and enjoy life together. Every week we run meetings, talks, and activity groups where members share skills, make friends, and feel part of something meaningful.
To keep all this going, we need a team of friendly volunteers who can spare just an hour or two each week — or even each fortnight. Every role matters, and every helping hand makes a difference.
What kind of help do we need?
We welcome volunteers at all levels, including people who can support with:
- Setting out chairs, making tea, washing up
- Helping with simple audio or visual equipment
- Supporting or helping to run small activity groups
- Sharing a skill, hobby, or area of expertise with others
- Offering general practical help at meetings and events
Whether you prefer hands‑on tasks or guiding others, there’s a place for you.

To volunteer, we simply ask that you join Slough u3a so we can provide the right insurance and facilities. Membership costs only a few pence per week.
