Membership Renewal Information.
The Slough u3a membership period runs
from 1st September to 31st August.
The membership renewal subscription is £18 per member, i.e. joint memberships pay £36.
Your U3A membership is administered in a separate website known as Beacon. You can access that from this page via this link: Beacon Members’ Portal.
RECOMENDED METHOD
Providing your annual subscription is due (after the 1st September each year): you can renew through the portal and make payment using a debit/credit card, or your PayPal account, if you have one. This is safe & secure – it also reduces administration and speeds up the whole process compared to all other methods. (It is likely that before too long this could be the only way we will be able to accept payment.) The details required were shown in your renewal invitation e-mail, which you will have received in good time.

This also shows that you CAN renew online WITHOUT a PayPal account – and WITHOUT having to create one.
Please use this link to enter our Beacon Members’ Portal and refer to your renewal e-mail for the necessary information, check your spam/junk mail folder if you haven’t seen it yet ( It would normally be sent in plenty of time)
ALTERNATIVE METHODS OF PAYMENT
Renew at Monthly Meeting
Renewal is also possible in person at our Monthly Meetings, ideally paying with a debit/credit card.
Alternatively a cheque*, but we prefer you not to pay by Cash.
Renewal by Cheque
Please DO NOT take cash or cheque at a Bank or Post Office counter and ask them to forward it to our bank account; the charges we have to pay are very high AND it comes through with no reference, so we don’t know you have paid!
Renewal by Bank Transfer (better than a cheque)
Paying into our account by bank transfer remains free at the moment, and so, if you normally pay by cheque, can we ask you to consider changing to pay by bank transfer in future. or better still using the online system. This would help us to keep costs – and the membership fee – down. our bank details are:-

Renewal by post
You may, if necessary, renew by posting a cheque for £18 made out to Slough U3A sent to the following address;
Membership Secretary, 73, The Frithe, Wexham, Slough, Sl2 5S
* Please use a BLACK pen and write your Membership number on the back of the cheque, this can be found in your renewal invitation.
Joint members may post a single cheque for £36, with both membership numbers written on the back.
